Stunning venue, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful nothing is too much or too small. Rooms are beautiful especially the suites. Food is wonderful always fresh always piping hot. Good selection of drinks, cocktails, wines and beers. Great small areas for quite conversations and amazing decor. Clean and warm. Stunning grounds and not too far from the coast. Would highly recommend for all occasions

Had a great stay at Clontarf Castle Hotel! What a cool hotel with a modern medieval vibe. The room is comfortable, with tea/coffee service, iron & ironing board, two lounge chairs, useful desk, and mini fridge. Bathroom was clean and the water ran hot. Air conditioner only went down to 19c. The bed was comfortable, albeit a bit warm with the thick duvet. The Knights Bar food and service were great. The food was nicely prepared and tasted very good. The fried fish and salmon were excellent. The staff members were really nice and helpful. It is a 20~30 min taxi drive into Dublin and a few minutes more to get to the airport, so plan for traffic. Overall great stay.

Clontarf Castle Hotel was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Ireland. From the moment we began planning, the staff were wonderful. I exchanged messages with them before our arrival, and they were consistently responsive, helpful, and welcoming.

The castle itself is absolutely stunning, blending historic character with modern comfort in such a memorable way. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, the service throughout our stay was exceptional, and the value for the experience was fantastic.

The location was another huge plus. We loved being able to enjoy a pleasant walk to the coast while still feeling tucked away in a peaceful, storybook setting.

Dining was equally impressive. Knights Bar and Fahrenheit Restaurant were both top notch, with a wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and absolutely delicious food. Every detail made the experience feel special.

Clontarf Castle delivered on everything: service, location, comfort, dining, atmosphere, and price. It felt less like staying at a hotel and more like stepping into a little piece of Irish history. We would return without hesitation!

A unique hotel close to Dublin and within walking distance of St Anns park. You are greeted with an impressive outside facia and then a most impressive reception area with a historic atrium spanning multiple floors. This is an amazing building blending the historic castle with the new, lots of character. The staff are very professional, informative and friendly helpful. A special shoutout for Rebecca one of the assistant bar managers. The room was spacious and clean with good temp. control. A comfy bed and nice functional bathroom. Even tho there was a wedding our sleep was undisturbed. The bar area is very good and not expensive with great food. Breakfast was not as good as other 4 star hotels ive stayed in. A good range of food. Ive dropped a star due to breakfast... very sticky floors, a wobbly table, staff slow to clear tables even when not busy and no brown sauce, a small but important detail... overall a great stay and recommended.

The Castle far exceeded our expectations. Staying in the center of Dublin is certainly convenient....and noisy, and EXPENSIVE, and in some places unsafe. Our airline canceled our flight, so we had to scramble last-minute to find accommodations. I went with Clontarf strictly based on price & location...and getting away from Temple Bar. We were blown away from the moment we set foot on property. Our checkin was friendly & quick (thanks Meiko!) our dinner was so relaxing and delicious (yo Adrian!) and Beth made arrangements to keep our bag while we killed time walking around town waiting for our flight. EVERY staff member we interacted with was polite & accommodating. EVERY part of the castle was spotless & beautiful. Even the weather was perfect for our stay! Amazing service

We got married here on 25/07/26 . When we booked our wedding 12 months previous we knew from the word go that it was going to be an easy process . Monica was in constant contact with giving us giving advice anywhere we needed it . She made our whole wedding planning journey so easy . We had the most fabulous day and everyone of our guest said that same it was such a relaxing atmosphere the whole day through . We highly recommend Clontarf castle and I wish we could do it all again ❤️

Dream castle

From the moment we stepped into Clontarf Castle, we knew this is where we would have our magical day. We were met with a warm welcome and the most amazing wedding planner, Monica, we couldn't have been more happy. Our room was so beautifully laid out, food was exceptionally tasteful, all the small details didn't go unnoticed. I really wish we could do it all again, Clontarf Castle is definitely a venue worth seeing so you can believe how amazing it is.

A wonderful wedding experience

We held our wedding here in March 2025. Our coordinator, Monica, was very responsive, attentive to detail, and flexible from the very beginning of our enquiry through the planning process. She is highly professional, organised, and always a pleasure to deal with, as are all the staff.

The venue speaks for itself and made for beautiful wedding photos that we treasure.

Our meal was fabulous - excellent quality food and very generous portions.

We enjoyed a wonderful day and are so grateful to the team at Clontarf Castle for making it so special.

Fantastic Venue

We recently got married in Clontarf, Monica and her team were fantastic from the start and right through. On the day, everything ran so smoothly. Monica was incredible, helped us throughout the day. Food was delicious. Highly recommended!

Every second was magical

Thank you to the staff at Clontarf Castle,we booked our wedding reception back in September 2024 and we were married on 20/07/2026 and we loved every minute of our stay.The food,the staff,the rooms,we loved it all!!

Best Wedding Hotel x

We had the best day. Nothing was ever too much, from you checking in on me and the girls the morning of getting ready was so special. We were more than looked after. You lead us through the day to even answering questions as to where do I stand and what side do I walk down the aisle to! Every one of our guests were very impressed and complimentary about the hotel and the FOOD! My god, I’m still dreaming of our wedding menu. Absolutely fabulous. We truly had the most special and best day of our lives. The hotel is beautiful. The staff and yourself were so professional and kind to us. We were made feel so special and important.

We want to thank you all truly from the bottom of our hearts for making our wedding day so amazing.

Small wedding of older couple

Firstly, thank you and your entire team for helping us make our wedding party a super special day.

We are more than thankful and are delighted how everything turned out.

We appreciate your attention to detail and to our requests.

I will have no hesitations on recommending Clontarf Castle for weddings, events, and weekend stays.

The food in the restaurant both for breakfast and dinner was delicious and our guests commented on this.

Equally as delicious was the buffet on the Friday at the wedding party.

All helping to make the few days so memorable for us and our family.

Best venue!

We wanted to say thank you so much for everything leading up to and on our wedding day. It was the best day of our lives, and it wouldn't have been possible without you and the Clontarf Castle team!
